Here is a picture of the protective Strawberry Cone. Just dangle the fruit inside it, with the stalk still connected to the main bush.

Here are the new strawberries in pots, in amongst the herbs, under the mint bushes.

Oxalis

Here is a picture of a particular weedy variety of oxalis. There is a larger leaf variety that’s a bit of a problem too. There are some ornamental oxalis that aren’t invasive and they must not die!

The apple blossom knocked me off my feet this year. Photo’s never do justice to the real thing.

Hi Riley and the Diggits
Having posted a comment on the last episode (3) reguarding my very large garden i wanted to mention how i manage to keep it all afloat!
So here's the breakdown; Apart from good average soil and lots of sunlight; I have 5 cages of rabbits and guinea pigs that provide an endless stream of mannered hay, along with a small chook pen with about 5-7 chooks on woodshavings that gets cleaned out every 3mths and put straight on the garden . I use a certified organic version of dynamic lifter on my vegies and fruit trees and the cheaper non organic Dynamic lifter on my flower garden. I have a local tree guy 'mate' that drops of a hug truck load of very rough mixed mulch v cheap when ever i want it that i used to keep the weeds at bay. And last year i had my grey water professionally repiped. I am now using grey water to sustain nearly my whole front garden. It has taken a while to figure out how to rig up a irrigation/drip system, a year actually (you would think instructions would come with the grey water system
durrr!) but with some good advice from the guy who invented the 'Grey Box'
as it's called, i have managed to rig up a cheap and very effective system.
I am very proud being female with no interest or experience in plumbing i have done the whole thing without a bloke in site or on site!! I am very excited, so far nothing has died i will keep you posted on the long term out come. Next year I plan to put a 4000L tank to cover my back yard which is mostly fruit trees, veggies, children and pets.
So that is it in a nut shell!
Thanks for the advice on noxalis i was pondering the problem myself this week and had decided on the poison but wasn't sure if it would work, before it gets out of hand. Also Love the jingle it's very catchy you and bloke could go into the jingle business! its just fab. Keep up the good green work.... lots of love to all those gardens out there as gardens need love along with the weeding!
